Greens Corner
Course Update
Rob and his team have been busy at work starting on the main drainage work of the winter. The 9th green has been a problem green over the past few years and certainly has been one of the greens worst hit this summer.
The greens committee along with Rob's expert knowledge have put a plan together to target the problem areas out on the course to improve the general playing condition.
This type of work is vital to keep the course in great condition all year round. The general maintenance work to the greens had to be cancelled this year because of bad weather and will be rescheduled to next March. |

14 mini channels now line the green to take water off to improve the general condition of the surface.
I am sure you will all accept that Rob and his team are doing a fantastic job in what has been a very tough year for greenkeeping. His dynamic team has kept the course in fantastic condition this year and has really been a joy to work with. Your feedback is always very much appreciated, so keep the comments flying in. Leighton and I are still waiting on the funding application to hopefully be passed. You will be the first to know if anything changes; keep those fingers crossed.
